Anthea Vivona, Ph.D., CCC-SLP

Anthea Vivona portraitAnthea has over 15 years experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist for Birch Family Services Western Queens Early Childhood Center. In addition, she is the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) CEU Coordinator for Birch Family Services, and provides supervision for graduate field placements. Her clinical expertise is in the area of evaluation and intervention with children with PDD Spectrum Disorders.

Anthea obtained her B.A. and M.A. in Speech Pathology from St. John’s University, and her Ph.D. in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences from the CUNY Graduate Center. She has over 20 years experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Anthea currently provides clinical supervision and teaches graduate-level speech-language pathology courses at St. John’s University. Her clinical expertise is in the area of evaluation and intervention with children with autism, and her research interests include child-directed speech.
