CalendarChild Abuse Identification and Reporting State Mandated Training
All adults working with children under eighteen years of age are required by NY State law to report suspected child abuse and neglect. This course will teach participants to identify symptoms of child abuse and neglect, and the required procedures for reporting abuse. The NY State Certificate of Completion will be issued to all registrants who attend the full two-hour session. This training is intended for anyone working with children.

CPR and First Aid Recertification RE-CERTIFICATION
This training will give participants the vital knowledge and skills they need to confidently respond to a life threatening situation. This training features the most recent CPR and first aid techniques approved by the American Red Cross. Participants will receive an instructional workbook as well as hands-on CPR and first aid training. Successful participants will receive certification from the American Red Cross.

MAT (Medication Administration Training)

NYSED Approved Coursework for Autism: Certification
This three-hour training program has been developed in accordance with the NYS Education Department’s Autism Syllabus. This course is required for all persons applying for a teaching certificate or license on or after 2/2/07 as a special education teacher or as a school administrator who works in special education. However, this course is open to all who are interested in a general overview of autism within the educational process.

School Violence Prevention State Mandated Training
Anyone applying for school certification after February 2, 2001 must complete two hours of training on school violence prevention and intervention. This workshop includes training in effective classroom management techniques, identifying the warning signs of violent and other troubling behavior, and intervention techniques for resolving violent incidents in the school. The NY State Certificate of Completion will be issued to all registrants who attend the full two-hour session. This training is intended for anyone working with children and in a school setting.
